Couple Sessions

Has arguing, distrust, or disconnection hurt your marriage or life partnership? Seeing your relationship without blaming or taking sides is something

a skilled relationship coach or couples counselor can do. Although you each might have different unmet needs, effective couples sessions usually depend on developing goals you and your helping professional can help you both work toward—goals that will each help you get your separate needs met and find peace and love together.

“My husband works nights and I work days and we’ve drifted apart”

“We have terrible arguments that make us both feel awful.”

“We don’t talk or have fun anymore. It feels like we’re just roommates”

These are some of the feelings couples have who come to sessions for couples counseling or coaching. They often feel desperate or like something valuable is slipping away. Or sadly, that something has already slipped away. These are all normal feelings people have who are in troubled relationships.

Whether your sessions are in person or by secure video*, sometimes couples just need a few sessions for help adjusting to an unexpected event or a sudden change that impacts the relationship. A few couples choose to check in with their helping professional periodically for months or years in order to have a safe place to open up and to keep the focus on the next step toward their goals But most couples trying to work through difficult interaction patterns attend a brief series of six or more in-person or online* sessions.
